2013 Student Poster Competition

Every year, the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station sponsors an open student poster competition to recognize significant research accomplishments of School of Environmental and Biological Sciences students. Awards to undergraduate and graduate students are given in the areas of basic or laboratory-based research, and for applied or field-based research.

On April 4, a reception was held in the first floor lobby for public and judges viewing of the posters. As you can see in the PDF of the posters below, there are some outstanding entries that represent a lot of hard work and demonstrate what our students can do when given the opportunity to do independent, creative research.

NJAES would like to announce the winners of the 2013 Student Poster Competition who are as follows:

  • Undergraduate Basic/Lab Research: Kaitlin Morey, Plant Biology and Pathology
  • Undergraduate Applied/Field Research: Lauren Palatini, Ecology, Evolution and Natural Resources
  • Graduate Basic/Lab Research:  Samantha Lee, Plant Biology and Pathology
  • Graduate Applied/Field Research: Noel Hahn, Entomology

To all who submitted their posters, your efforts are acknowledged, and thank you for your participation. To all their advisors, our appreciation goes out to you for supporting your respective students. We also thank the judges for volunteering their time and effort in support of the contest.”
